Security

Is the Cloud secure?

Often the opinion is that the cloud is not as secure as a datacenter on premise. I think it is the opposite. The Cloud is fully closed by default and everything is compartment oriented. To have access to servers and data only one front entrance is available by design. One entrance is much easiler to secure, then all kinds of different gates.

Of course the security is fully depending on the right setup of the resources. If you not properly design one gate, you end up with an unsecure enviroment.

Important is to have a qualified archirect who makes the design and expert to review and approve the design.

In AWS a lot of “good practises” are available to design a
A design once made properly and proven to be 100% secure can be reused via Cloudformations or another tool easialy repeated.
